This antique silver plated trophy cup has remarkable history. It’s a prize for “Best Pup” from the 1913 French Bulldog Club of America, which held shows annually in New York City at the Waldorf Astoria. “Gamin’s Rival” is the engraved name of the winning pup who later went on to win “Best of Breed” in 1915 according to the FBDCA’s archives. "Presented by F. Poffet,” which is engraved on the backside of the trophy, refers to Frederic Poffet who was the FBDCA president at the time.
